The problem is different: the wireless always starts as disabled, and to enable
it I have to toggle the switch.
The strange thing is that the switch has a "on" and "off" position, and if I
start ubuntu with "on" I have to switch it "off" to enable wireless.
On the contrary, if I start with "off" I have to switch it "on"

What's more strange is that I have 2 ubuntu karmic installations (both
with karmic-* updates enabled), and this problem appears only with one
of the 2.
