Public bug reported:

This bug report is almost the same as this one:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/334249 but now it's happening on
9.10.

The default install of 9.10 worked fine and solved the problem as
pointed on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/334249/comments/56 (I
said 1320 but I really have a 1310 notebook, sorry) but after some
updates (using kernel 2.6.31.14 now) it stopped again with exactly the
same behaviour as 9.04. On the first boot using battery keyboard and
trackpad stops. With some luck, after the first power off still using
the battery they come back, but sometimes needs more than one power off
or not use the battery.

As we're using GRUB2 now, where is the correct location to add the
i8042.reset i8042.nomux i8042.nopnp i8042.noloop options to check if it
solve the problem as in 9.04?

** Affects: ubuntu
