Bryce, I do not think this bug should go to the nvidia graphic drivers 180 group as that is not where the problem lies. The problem is with the default xorg driver at boot of the CD of karmic and if I use the text installer which I did after the first problem with booting from the cd the computer will not get to an active xorg display on first boot. This is a function of the original graphics driver installed by the karmic final release medium. So I think the problem is there.
