Display came up very low res. Hardware Drivers presented three options. Choosing the recommended (185) gave me a blank screen and the LCD complained about refresh rate out of range.. running $sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg did nothing. from the shell (ctrl+alt+F1) I edited xorg.conf and changed the "nvidia"to "nv" and then restored my lowres default driver... version 173 also did not work. same out range problem. the oldest version works. then I can open teh nvidia display managem and change to a decent resolution... regards, Luciano -- Ubuntu 9.10 install problems https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/480004 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug.
