I have the same problem, although in my case, it happens at EVERY boot.
I get the "One or more mounts in /etc/fstab cannot yet be mounted" with several 
line of "waiting" (one for each partition at least), exactly like peterzay 
described.

In my optinion, it is a bug for two reasons:

1) The information in /etc/fstab is correct, i.e. the same as the output of a 
"blkid" command.
2) By hitting ESC, you access the recovery shell logged as a root... which 
seems to me like a big security problem...

So yes, if no one does anything, you eventually boot, but that's not
what is supposed to happen.
