I have an Acer X223W monitor and geforce 6150SE built in graphics. I was having the same "input not supported" problem. I solved it by using a different monitor to access the system and update the nvidia drivers. I also changed the resolution before hooking my Acer X223W back up but I'm not sure if that helped. Now the system recognizes my monitor and it's working good. So try using a different monitor to mess with the settings until you can get video to come up on your main monitor.
