My bug ( lp:488009 ) has been marked a duplicate of this one. Although I'm not sure if it's the same bug (I get different output in the terminal, as far as I can see)
I've submitted the Apport report also, if that helps. I have a feeling it has got to do with the theme I am using. I am using New Wave. I've always had problems with this theme.
