Please report your different error messages in new bug reports. This bug report
is not about getting a message, but that the fsck messages do not go away when
it is done (see bug title), which is fixed.
Therefore I think the screen flicker on fsck at boot is not a valid
duplicate. Maybe the reason (message clearing in fsck) is the same, but
the symptoms are different.
I am experiencing the screen flicker problem in fsck with 9.10 as well,
it was not there with 9.04 before.
