I have different hardware running Karmic -- EeePC1000 with an Intel Mobile
945GME Express -- and I cannot recreate the crash. The slider on the
brightness applet works fine.
The nc6120 is running Lucid and I cannot recreate the crash on it either, but
the brightness applet icon has the NO symbol overlay and the tool tip reads
"Cannot get laptop panel brightness".
The Fn keys work on both systems. I think this crashing bug is solved. Thanks!
