Hi Sebastien,

I rebooted the machine and all files were there again. There was a lot
of other files hidden besides PDFs. 

Something weird happened. I was using virtual box, VPN connection, etc.
Maybe some of this processes caused Nautilus to fail. 

As long as I can see there is no way to reproduce it. In case I
experience this problem again I will let you know trying to add some
details.
