The fix may have been released but it still hasn't solved the problem.
Both my Karmic machines are still giving the .local error.

I have 2 choices: the first is use OpenDNS settings in my router and then I
don't have access to my networked drives via Samba. OR
Don't use OpenDNS, have a domain name in my router (which does not seem to make
a difference), access my networked drives and then not be able to use my HP MFD
which is also on the network.

Neither of these is ideal!

Any suggestions on how I can sort this out to get both bits working at
the same time?

Thanks!
