I found out the problem. I read a forum for ubuntu regarding the same
issue. netlogic onr of the contributor of the site
http://ubuntuforums.org suggested convert all the videos to standard
formats. I converted it to MP4 and flash. It worked. Please check
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=729112 under netlogic comment.
