I have finally narrowed down what triggers the bug: Because of buggy toshiba bios, independent of acpid version, if a suspend keeps a long time(seems to be in the order of hours) when the pc wakes up, the fan works for a while at full speed even if the cpu is cold. It then keeps the fan working at the slowest speed until a reset occurs. I will add a log when the fan kept working after suspend.
If the bug belongs to another program, please tell me where to submit it. I would also be very glad to log the actions of toshiba utilities when such a suspend occurs, but I don't know how. ** Attachment added: "dmesg.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/36112998/dmesg.txt -- after resume fan runs continuously on toshiba satellite https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/484750 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
