I suspect that this bug is a duplicate of Bug# 307471, which I'm
currently in the process of fixing. I had fixed it for hardy, but an
sru was never undertaken, and the same thing's been broken in Jaunty and
Karmic. I'm trying to get this fixed once and for all upstream, and in
Ubuntu. It relates to cups' inability to handle %%IncludeFeature
directives, which is how things like tray settings, duplex, etc, get
passed to the printer.
I'm going to mark this as a duplicate, as I suspect once I post a patch
for karmic for this, (and an update gets pushed out by the maintainers)
then this will solve your problem.
