Hello Jwednesday, AFAIK the bugtracking system encloses some files when someone is reporting a bug. One of theses files is the "traceback.txt" which delivers some informations (not a lot) what happened when the error occured. Comparing the two traceback.txt-files from #488687 and #339772 results in different informations what happened on the systems. Another additionally indicator is that #339772 has a history with a bug-is- fixed-message. Fixed bugs normally do not occur in later versions of a package.
Sorry, I don't know anything more about it, because I'm also not a programmer, only a stupid normal user (in good ol' Germany we call users like me often DAU="Dümmster Anzunehmender User", what is translated something like HMSU="Hypothetical Most Stupid User").
