Hello Sebastien. Yes, it is reproducible.
On my laptop I start normally the sound recorder, I push the record button and I speak for few seconds. then I stop the record session pushing the stop button and finally when I press the play button hear a sound, (it seems something like a like an audio sine wave), and obviously i don't hear my voice recorded. Using the same procedure with audacity is working fine. best regards Stefano. I can normally record a track using Audacity, it works fine. I don't see the sound recorder application in sound preferences-->Applications Tab.
