Public bug reported: I need some Help. When I try to change the Appearance of the Desktop in Ubuntu 9.10 it causes the computer to got to the startup with progress bar screen Here is what I see.
http://www.mikosoftworks.com/Ubuntu/Ubuntu-9.10_Desktop-1.jpg Then I see this for 3 seconds. http://www.mikosoftworks.com/Ubuntu/Ubuntu-9.10_Desktop-2.jpg After that it goes to this screen http://www.mikosoftworks.com/Ubuntu/Ubuntu-9.10_Desktop-3.jpg It stays on this screen for 5 seconds, then goes blank for 3 seconds and this screen reappears.
