I got this message in Pidgin:

Assertion '!in_worker(m)' failed at pulse/thread-mainloop.c:161,
function pa_threaded_mainloop_stop(). Aborting.

so I think it is not a problem in gcompris. I haven't found any way to
reproduce this crash, it appears to occur randomly (but always during
chat). I'm going to add pulseaudio to affected projects. There is a
similiar bug report in Debian: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
