I reinstalled my Ubuntu system and the wireless adapter worked directly
afterwards. The system I installed was 9.10.
More information:
I upgraded my 9.04 Ubuntu system to 9.10, but the adapter still didn't
work. After I formated my old system and installed 9.10 all worked
without any further updates.
This wasn't the main reason to reinstall the system, but came as a
positive surprise. I change the status of the bug and if it is still an
issue to anybody else, please change it back.
