Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client
Working with the "same" account from several computers creates the demand of sharing information about personal mail-adresses for evolution and other mail-clients and IM-accounts, not only contacts, calendar, notes and documents. In the context of installing a new os from scratch every six month, using several computers, at home, at work, at customers, virtual machines, nettops, mids, (in the future phones), laptops, lending a computer from a colleague, the time to get your personal account in sync to be productive are a huge time thief. UbuntuOne creating an api for this, an internet protocol and a server/SAAS for this, can have a significant role to play in this area. There are some stubs for this in evolution and LDAP (for the wichlist) ProblemType: Bug .home.aw..cache.ubuntuone.log.syncdaemon.exceptions.log: .home.aw..config.ubuntuone.ubuntuone.client.conf: [ubuntuone] bookmarked = True connected = True connect = 0 show_applet = 1 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sat Nov 28 13:16:08 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 Package: ubuntuone-client 1.0.2-0ubuntu2 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=sv_SE.UTF-8 LANG=sv_SE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-15.50-generic SourcePackage: ubuntuone-client Uname: Linux 2.6.31-15-generic x86_64 ** Affects: ubuntuone-client (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- Syncing evolution conifguration details https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/489549 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
