I have the same problem.
I have to set up my pppoe connection manually:
pppd pty 'pppoe -I eth1' user xxxxx password aaaaa defaultroute
usepeerdns
What ever I set in DSL tab of NetworkManager, absolutely nothing
happens, no connection goes up, no error message appears, no packets are
send.
