> Last thing I will try : I just noticed that SCIM is defunct, I am going to reboot afer desactivating it and let you know.
Hell, why is it always that the last thing I check is the right one ? I removed all scim related packages, rebooted, and the system is back to normal speed (it had GTK_IM_MODULE set to scim-bridge). Now I have to figure out if there is something broken in scim or if my setup is somehow wrong. Not sure if I do that or install Karmic instead, in which case I won't update this report. We'll see. ** Summary changed: - [Hardy] Painfully slow gtk drawing + [Hardy] Painfully slow gtk drawing (update : SCIM related) -- [Hardy] Painfully slow gtk drawing (update : SCIM related) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/489614 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
