This is not a wishlist bug. On edgy the behaviour is as expected:
* Open the Connect to Server dialog
* Select Service type "Windows share"
* Enter Server, Share, User Name, Name to use for connection
* Click "Connect"
-> on edgy, the "Name to use for connection" appears in the Places menu
immediately
-> on feisty, the dialog closes without any indication that the connection
exists. When restarting nautilus, the share appears in the Places menu. The
error can not be reproduced by unmounting and mounting the same share again.
This is feisty amd64, installed from Herd 3 and fully updated.
** Changed in: gnome-vfs (Ubuntu)
Status: Unconfirmed => Confirmed
