I carefully read the article. First I tried to look up the output of cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#* | grep Codec (Conexant CX20561 (Hermosa) in /usr/share/doc/alsa-base/driver/ALSA-Configuration.txt but but there is no information about Hermosa codec or CX20561 in this file.
I set options snd-hda-intel power_save=0 power_save_controller=N options snd-hda-intel model=auto powersave from 10 to 0 and added snd-hda-intel model=auto, but that didn't help. For some strange reason, alsamixer and the KDE mixer do not display all "sliders", while Card0.Codecs.codec.0.txt seems to contain them.
