Well, note that the Q9550 is not as fast as Ubuntu 9.1 under VirtualBox
on Windows 7 (the fifth column).

I have benchmarked a wide variety of calculations that I run on
Ubuntu/VirtualBox and the architecture is certainly faster for most
tasks even under virtualization - the issue is just that we could unlock
even more performance if this were not running virtualized.
