Ok, I removedthe line options snd-hda-intel model=hp
again. linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic was alreday previously installed (see first bug report) Audacity is recording, and I can clearly notice when I plug an external mic. But neither alsamixer nor KMix settings seem to affect the recording level. (But when I have alsamixer open and change the recording gain, KMix changes simultanously and vice versa) The strange thing is, the recording gain is now much stronger, yet I have no idea how I should have changed it, as alsamixer seems to take no effect. * How am I supposed to change the gain you mentioned or mute the device? (* Does this model acutally has only one mic, so to distinguish external / internal makes no sense? Is there only one physical wiring to the sound card? Because otherwise it would be good to distinguish between these two devices) -- Sound capture internal mic not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/489878 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
