commands from a terminal window
When i type xsane-find-scanner, this is what I get
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8, product=0x0116) at libusb:002:005
when I type scanimage -L this is what I get

No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation

when I type xsane this is what I get
