Thank you for your bug report. Unfortunatly this bug seems to exist in
VMWare, not Ubuntu. I recommend contacting VMWare directly about this,
or posting on their community forums.
On a side note - I have seen a simmilar issue, and running:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libdbus-1.so.3:$LD_PRELOAD vmware
In a console fired VMWare up correctly.
