dharmagio, there is a newer version of the NVidia driver out (version
190). You have to get this one directly from their website. Could you
try that driver and see if there are still issues? There is also an
open-source driver called Nouveau that you could also try (I believe you
can get this one through the packages). Let us know if either of them
fixes your troubles.
