I asked Kees Cook on IRC about prelink and this was his answer:
< kees> prelink isn't really very useful on modern systems.
< kees> the load-time speed was solved with the gnu-hash symbols stuff about 2
years ago, and the random-ordering is done already with kernel mmap ASLR
< kees> so, from my perspective, prelink is harmful.
