Confirmed. After installing gclcvs on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic amd64, I see
this issue too.

Basically, this means that something about the package gclcvs is
unhappy. Please try

  sudo apt-get purge gclcvs

in a Terminal, as a first step. This appears to take care of the issue
for me.

The problem during installing gclcvs is that it tries to run a program
that doesn't seem to exist:

/var/lib/dpkg/info/gclcvs.postinst: 52: register-common-lisp-
implementation: not found

The gcl package (a slightly older version of GCL) does not seem to have
this issue, so unless you absolutely require the gclcvs version, you can
just install gcl instead:

  sudo apt-get install gcl

Setting status to confirmed. Steps to reproduce:

  sudo apt-get install gclcvs

** Changed in: gclcvs (Ubuntu)
