I apologize if it's too early in the development process but just to report
that I tried a daily-build of Lucid from cdimage.ubuntu.com and it does the
same thing as Karmic with my integrated HD3200. Just before showing the desktop
(or what would have been the login screen if installed on the hdd), it restarts
the PC.
When searching how to solve this problem with Karmic I know Staffan replied
that I do not have to use "radeonhd" and "ati" but the thing is I still don't
know how to avoid loading those drivers if you only select Try Ubuntu option.
Yes, after I installed Karmic to the hdd I managed to sort it out in recovery
mode, but this "bug" was making it unable to checkthe Try ubuntu option first
on my PC.
The daily build of Lucid is doing the same. Please take this into
consideration. I guess it's early for bug reports and not sure if it's a bug at
all, but especially to users new to ubuntu it will be very strange if the Try
Ubuntu option restarts their PC.

Thanks.
