Is it a requirement that the programs listed here, should also be
available in Windows? If so, then Totem, Rhythmbox, and F-Spot should
also be taken off of the list.

It is my understanding that the purpose of this list is to help new
Ubuntu users become familiar with their new environment, post-install.
To this end, it is my view that the most useful, and least confusing
option would be to stick as closely as possible to the programs that are
installed by default.

I'm not sure what should be done about the reference to GIMP in the
Lucid documentation.
