Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

New task arising from bug 490980.

Allowing non-default applications to be listed in the Switching guide -
see https://help.ubuntu.com/9.10/switching/applications-equivalents.html
. I don't see any requirement that says we don't already allow it, but
if we do, that page can be expanded to provide more options. Pidgin was
replaced by Empathy, but it is still a valid alternative, and it is
available in Windows for users looking to get practice with FOSS
alternatives before making the switch.

GIMP is going to be removed as a default application in Lucid, but I
don't see reason to not allow documentation to remain.

Task for this bug is to either expand this documentation to include non-
default apps, or to remove non-default apps, like GIMP for Lucid.

** Affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
