Hi,
some days ago libnotify 0.4.2 was released. This release fixes a few bugs and
adds special gtk 2.9/2.10 support. It's completely API and ABI compatible with
the old version.
Below are the release notes, attached is the diff of the changelog.

* Add G_BEGIN_DECLS and G_END_DECLS to notify.h, so that libnotify
can be used in C++ applications properly.
