Public bug reported: Binary package hint: alsamixergui
Since the update from 9.04 to 9.10 I'm unable to play FullHD Videos. Under 9.04 I could play them without a hassle, the cpu (2x3,3 Ghz) didn't even get to >50% load. Now any player with any output method shows me about 1 to 2 frames per second, while the cpu still doesn't get any more load then in 9.04. I have an onboard Nvidia 8300 card. VLC, mplayer, Totem all say something along ************************************************ **** Your system is too SLOW to play this! **** ************************************************ I also don't want to bypass this by waiting for video hardware acceleration support, since it used to work flawlessly just before the update. ** Affects: alsamixergui (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: 1080 fullhd highres karmic mkv video -- FullHD videos not playable since update to Karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/493228 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
