I'm still getting these crashes with the latest linux-image-generic
2.6.31.16.29. This is reproducable and it always logs that 'unable to
handle kernel paging request' message if it is able to log anything at
all. I'm attaching some more samples of that.

I did a fresh karmic install on a spare partition and that doesn't have
this problem. I'm wondering what could make that difference. I tried
with the same kernel versions. Remaining difference is the fresh install
doesn't have software raid, only one user account is there, some
packages are not installed and pulseaudio is still installed. All that
doesn't look like it could make that difference. I'm close to installing
the production system fresh and hope the problem will not come back.
