The current version of GParted (0.5.0) displays the device node for the
disk and the disk size in the disk device combo list.  E.g.,  /dev/sdd
(149.05 GB).

By disk label, do you mean display the partition table type such as
"MSDOS" or "GPT", or some other type of disk label?

The partition table type (also known as disk label) is shown in the
"Device Information" panel which is accessible from the menu "View -->
Device Information".
