Same here - shared files can be accessed no problem but cannot be amended (e.g. presentation file .ppt opens as read only)
** Description changed: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client My wife and I both use Ubuntu One. I have a folder I share with her and she has a folder she shares with me. I set both up by creating a folder under ~/Ubuntu One/**** on each computer. Each was shared and the option to "Allow Modifications" was checked. We can see each others files on each others computers properly but we can't modify and save any files or create files in the shared folder.
