No, it is not; there's no information about how the system got that way.

amarok, were you prompted on upgrade about whether to keep local changes to 
your menu.lst file?  What did you choose?
Were you prompted to reboot at the end of the upgrade, and have you done so?

Please post a copy of the /boot/grub/menu.lst for your system.
