Thanks - I'll leave it open and the importance as it is for now. However, in the meantime, please enable Apport by editing /etc/default/apport and restarting your machine. This will catch any future crashes which you can submit then, although these crash reports will be of limited use if the crash is an unhandled X exception. It might give some idea where it is failing though
