Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

I have the nv driver installed due to bugs in the proprietary driver on
the bloody awful GeForce Go 7300 chipset. I Try running "gnome-display-
properties" and it says:

"It appears that your graphics driver does not support the necessary
extensions to use this tool. Do you want to use your graphics driver
vendor's tool instead?"

Curious. I'm using the Open driver, not the Nvidia proprietary one.
Click "Yes" and it launches the proprietary nvidia config which says:

"You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X
configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the
X server."

If I click "No" instead, the display utility will not recognise my
second monitor.
