sane-find-scanner output found USB scanner (vendor=0x04a9 [Canon], product=0x2213 [CanoScan], chip=GL841) at libusb:001:006 scanimage -L output device `genesys:libusb:001:006' is a Canon LiDE 35/40/50 flatbed scanner Scanner works okay in MS Windows -so the hardware is okay.
