As jayarbie, I'm interested for having information about backporting the issue in karmic. I've migrated the laptop of friends from Win to Kubuntu, and I don't think it's a good idea to put them on a dev version. For information, the bug occurs on a dell inspiron 15z (I've searched for a long for this bug report ;-) ).
