GREAT NEWS! It works! Sort of.
Here's how it works for me (Ubuntu 9.10 only so far; not tested with fglrx): - Suspend computer by closing lid - Resume computer by opening lid - Press Ctrl-Alt-F1, wait 1 second - Press Ctrl-Alt-F7, wait 1 second - It works! However, a process called 'vbetool post' seems to hang on my PC and uses one core at 100%. You can kill it, but then my system seems to kernel panic (caps lock flashing). However, the following command will suspend the computer, then after resuming, there will be no vbetool hang. sudo pm-suspend --quirk-vbe-post --quirk-vbemode-restore --quirk-save- pci -- [Dell Inc. Studio 1537] suspend/resume failure [non-free: fglrx] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358111 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
