Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Ubuntu: 9.10

Helllo,

I use the Gnome panel at the left side of my Desktop with a size of 150 Pixel
(expansion view). Top of my panel displays the Main switch and than the panel
bar (which collects all panels). Than comes unused area. At the bottom is the
Trash, and the information bar.
The problem is now, that when many panels are open the size of the panel bar
change uncoordinated and frequently from the startup high (~150 pixel) and the
high which is need to show all panel entries well readable.
For a better understanding here two snapshots from my gnome panel:
     short view:

     large view:

I search for a setting in which I can change the high of my panel bar,
but unfortunately I didn't find them. I wish a setting for my panel
which use the hole space between the main switch and the information
bar. Exist such a kind of setting?

** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
