Enter a website into the address bar and click go. Expected to arrive at
the website in 1 to 2 seonds

It take 5 to 10 seconds before the status bar indicates any action is
taking place, i.e. that it has contacted the server and maybe another 10
second before I get to that website. Any internal navigation of a site
take as long or a little less time.

The type of sites that take time to load,

Everysite beside google it seems

This has nothing to do with my internet connection, or my computer
hardware, which is obvious since the XP version doesn't take as much
time.

I was connecting to my router via wireless card, when plugged directly
in there is the same delay present.

Further more I have installed Opera 10.10 and it does not suffer from
this problem.
