Upgraded kernel from 2.6.20-8-generic to 2.6.20-9-generic using
synaptic.

Lost functionality of:
Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection 
(rev 02)

Relevant driver: ipw3945

Further Information:
dmesg show that the device was correctly matched to driver; but support is not 
made available.

The relevant device does not show in ifconfig/iwconfig.

When restarting  'networking' the following is noticed:
        SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
        eth1: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
        Bind socket to interface: No such device
        Failed to bring up eth1.


Workaround: At grub selection on boot, revert to previous kernel.

     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
