Thank Dustin and Tyler and everybody that contributed!
I mean before ecryptfs I used encfs and the file name encryption there works
practically way better! No offense but the current bloat ratio of FNEK in
ecryptfs is nearly unbearable!
So I have this file which would be quite common (spaces escaped)
1-01\ Serenade\ No.\ 13\ in\ G\ major\,\ K.\ 525\,\ _Eine\ kleine\
Nachtmusik__\ I.\ Allegro_\ Serenade\ No.\ 13\ in\ G\ major\,\ K.\ 525\,\ Eine\
kleine\ Nachtmusik_\ I.\ Allegro.mp3
length of original name: 154
after encfs file name encryption (all default settings): 217
in ecryptfs: too long ...
a table of comparison
file/folder name original length encfs len ecryptfs
len
Various Artists 16 25 85
The Very Best of Mozart 24 47 105
Really hope this can somehow be fixed
