Binary package hint: compiz
I am using feisty i386 (installed Herd 4, updated to 20070227). On a
Compaq R3000z AMD64 laptop with a GeForce4 400 Go.
I enabled compiz using the button in desktop-effects. Compiz proper
works fine (wobbly windows, neat alt-TAB, etc), but there are no window
decorations. gtk-window-decorator is running (visible in ps output), but
it doesn't appear to do anything.
The output of "desktop-effects" contain a lot of messages like:
/usr/bin/compiz.real: Couldn't bind redirected window 0x3c000ee to texture
/usr/bin/compiz.real: No GLXFBConfig for depth 32
